The Lipatti Piano Quartet was formed in 2013 by four young award-winning instrumentalists dedicated to exploring and sharing the piano quartet repertoire, from Viennese classics to works by contemporary composers. Winners of the Elias Fawcett Trust Award for an Outstanding Chamber Ensemble at the finals of the Royal Overseas League Competition 2016, they were also selected to perform on the final night of the PLG Young Artists Spring Series at St John’s Smith Square, as part of the Park Lane Group’s 60th anniversary season.

TOMÁŠ KLEMENT piano
Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor, and music by Janáček and Martinů.
Tomáš Klement started playing the piano at the age of four. Nowadays he is one of the prominent piano artists of the young Czech piano generation. He graduated from the Royal Music Academy in London under Ian Fountain, as the winner of the Sterndale Bennet scholarship. He has performed at soem of the world´s most prestigious concert halls including the Royal Albert Hall and Wigmore Hall (London), and Konsethuset (Stockholm), Avery Fisher Hall (New York). His recordings have been broadcast on TV and by the Czech Radio 3 Vltava.

HENRY NEILL baritone A programme of German lieder and English art song. Winner of the 2016 Royal Overseas League Singers Prize, British baritone Henry Neill has performed as a soloist at many of the country's most prestigious venues including the Wigmore Hall, Birmingham's Symphony Hall, Bristol's Colston Hall, St John's Smith Square and Garsington Opera. As a song performer Henry recently sang on BBC Radio 3's In Tune appeared at the Oxford Lieder Festival, the Leeds Lieder Festival, at the Wigmore Hall as well as in many other venues across the UK. He also performs extensively as an Oratorio soloist including performances of Mendelssohn's Elijah, Handel's Messiah, Bach's B minor Mass, the Mozart Requiem and many others. www.henryneill.co.uk |
